Checking off the projects

Well somehow almost a whole month has gone by. We've been busy tackling our projects and so has the builder. Still aiming for a certificate of occupancy by the end of the month...it'll be close, good thing it's leap year. Here are a few quick shots of what's happened in February.

The garage doors are on and painted. We went with clear glass windows with the thought that they let in the most light and if we're worried about privacy/security, we can always add some contact paper to make them obscure later.

The railing around the stairs is up and stained. Square metal balusters to match the other black hardware.

 We finished the hardwood install by doing the stair treads. The risers will be black slate (the tile guy installed those after we did the hardwood...more photos to come).
