At Joe's suggestion, we rented a lift gate truck. Andy had a good time driving the 26' truck and running the lift gate too. I meant to take more photos of the move, but it was rather busy. And I felt bad walking around taking pictures while everyone else carried my stuff!
Saturday started early with the truck pick up. Andy and I loaded the remaining boxes and items that we could carry into the truck and took a load over.
We saved all of the big stuff for Sunday. We had a great group of coworkers and friends help us out. They loaded up the equipment from the garage in no time. The rest of the stuff in the house filled the truck. Even more folks showed up to help us unload at the new house. The furniture went right upstairs, but the majority of stuff ended up in the garage. A second load for the rest of the furniture and then off to lunch for celebration.
The upstairs is coming along. Enough items in the kitchen to cook and a sofa to relax on. We left both TVs so no TV time until we buy a nice new flat screen. Plenty of boxes still to unpack. I managed to eventually find some work appropriate shoes this morning...
The master has a bed with sheets...high priority! Furniture is still empty, but it's in the room at least. We might need a rug since the alarm clock echoed this morning.
A few plants and herbs are going in out back.
The closet needs a little bit of organization...looks like we'll fill it up no problem.
The guest room has a bed so we're ready for visitors...well you might have to bring your own sheets until I find that box.
The shop is the holding place for all of the boxes that need to go upstairs eventually.
That three car garage looks pretty full! I don't think there are any small animals lost amongst the collection, but I guess we'll find out eventually.
