House tour

July has come to and end, and the framing for the exterior walls and most of the interior walls is pretty much done. We'll give you a little walk through tour of the different rooms (with see-thru walls still!). They started putting the sheathing on the outside, which makes the house appear much bigger from the outside now. Trusses are being made and should be delivered on Thursday hopefully. They are working on digging the trenches for the electric/cable lines and the gas/water lines.

Looks pretty tall from this view!

The shop (game room) area is much darker with the walls on! At least we have some pretty big windows out front.

The stairs are roughed in (they'll put on plywood stair treads later since there will be quite a bit of traffic up and down the stairs for now and no sense in worrying about damaging the stairs).

The great room looking toward the back of the house. You can see where the stairs come up on the right side and to the left of that is the double inswing door to the back deck.

Panning to the left from the top of the stairs, the kitchen, front entrance way and great room. The master is on the far side of the house.

Now looking the other way (towards the front of the house and great room angled window wall from the kitchen). The entrance door is on the right and the stairs up from the garage are on the left. The fireplace will be to the left of the large wall of windows.

Panning further to the left, the fireplace, hall to the two bedrooms and bathrooms, stairs, back doors and kitchen area on the far left.

Now over on the master side of the house looking into the laundry room. It's rather hallway like, but there is plenty of room for shelving and two front loaders on the left side. The sink and counter top will be under the window on the front wall.

Into the master bedroom. An inswing shasta door (one operable panel and one fixed panel with a sliding screen) and a double casement window on the back of the house looking into the backyard. Two awning windows on the wall to the left above the bed.

Looking through the master bathroom doorway. The sinks will be in the bump out to the right and the closet to the left. The bathtub is straight ahead on the front of the house.

Looking from the sinks into the master closet and through to the laundry room.

The tub on the right and the shower on the left.

The master toilet room in between the closet on the left and the shower on the right.

Now back to the other side of the house...
Looking down the hallway next to the stairs. A hall closet, then bedroom 1 and then the half bath on the right. Bedroom 2 is straight ahead.

The half bath with an angled wall to transition from the sink area to the toilet.

Bedroom 1 (front guest bedroom) now has 4 windows. And this additional small awning window ends up with a pretty neat view of the mountain when you walk from the bathroom into the bedroom.

Added a high fixed window in the jack and jill bathroom sink room to add some more light.

Jack and jill tub/toilet room, tub will be against the back wall and the toilet towards the front.

Bedroom 2 at the back of the house. Shasta door on the left wall leading out to the back deck. Two casement windows along the back wall for backyard views and light.

Panning to the right, the door to the sink room and the tub/toilet room is on the back left.

Closet in bedroom 2 looking through to the half bath.

Looking back up the hallway from bedroom 2 toward the fireplace and front of the house.

View from the backyard.

There are a few wildflowers left on the sides of the lot and a cute butterfly was flying around them so I got sidetracked taking photos of it instead of the house progress...
