Mountains in a picture frame

Well as long as we put the sofa in the right spot, the mountains are well frame by the angle wall windows. I think the window openings look huge, but Andy says they could always be bigger! The mountains sure look smaller in the distance now. These picture are all from the framing progress on Monday. They did a fair amount of the framing for the exterior walls on the second level. Unfortunately it rained quite a bit on Tuesday, but they built a few more walls. Sounds like the exterior walls should all be finished up on Wednesday...but we'll see with all of this wet weather. Too muddy for excavation of the driveway or trenching for utilities.

They started with the north and east sides of the house. You can see all of the water on the floor from the heavy down pours Monday.

The front door opening and window in the laundry room.

The front wall is mostly framed in the greatroom.

The bedrooms and jack and jill bathroom are mostly framed.

The little boy across the street said that we were still missing a roof. He had some creative ideas about how to keep the house safe without a roof, but didn't seem overly concerned that everything inside would get wet... Interesting to hear the serious thoughts of a little kid about house construction!
