Getting darker

After getting all of the main trusses up with the crane, the framers worked on finishing the remaining smaller trusses by hand. Then they continued sheathing on the sides of the house and the roof. They should finished the sheathing this coming week and put the Ice & Water Shield which is the waterproof roofing underlayment. Here are some photos from the last week of progress...

They put up the trusses for the back porch by hand.

The master bedroom

Making the tails for the roof overhang on the back of the house.

A very open feeling great room!

It's getting easier to tell what's what from the front of the house. The big hole in the great room roof will be where the shed dormer is. We are still missing the front porch and stairs to get up to the front door (big hole above the single car garage).

The vaulted ceiling above the back deck with white primed fascia boards.

The great room with the chimney under construction...

The jack and jill side of the house with the sides and roof all sheathed.

The back bedroom

The front bedroom seems much darker with the roof covered, but the 4 windows should let in enough light hopefully.

The jack and jill bath

Check out those nice roof lines!

A little tour of the roof and the chimney...
A pretty sunset from the rooftop!
